Syncrosoft was founded in Hamburg, Germany in 1991, and developed and marketed superior crypto and security solutions used for IP- and software copy-protection. Syncrosoft targeted international markets, and successfully supplied its patented technologies to customers in the software, digital content and security solutions industry in Europe, USA and Asia.

In 2008, Syncrosoft’s eLicenser technology was acquired by Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH, Germany, a subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation.

In 2009, Syncrosoft’s MCFACT Technology was acquired by whiteCryption, Latvia.
