Task: Protect program code against illegal reuse.

A software component contains specific program code which should be protected against reverse-engineering and illegal reuse by other software producers.

Solution: Protect the program code with MCFACT.

MCFACT protected program code is resistant against debugging and reverse-engineering, thus keeping the know-how of the program code secret. Additionally, MCFACT protected program code can be designed to interact with another block of protected program code only. That prevents the component from being called by arbitrary program code.
