Secure Hardware Link

A hard link between program code and security hardware is the foundation for secure software copy protection. Traditional hardware links provide no real security, because adversaries can reverse-engineer and debug the program code that implements the link. Once the link is understood, it can be tampered with.

Syncrosoft MCFACT™
MCFACT has been designed to link program code with a specific hardware. The security of the MCFACT hardware link is based on a hard mathematical problem. Attempts to tamper or remove the link will result in a program malfunction. In general, the MCFACT hardware link can be implemented with any programmable micro controller, e.g. a smart-card, or a DRM system that runs on a remote server.
