The Syncrosoft USB-eLicenser™ is based on a tamper-proof smart-card with permanent memory.

Certified Smart-Card Chip
The smart-card device is Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL-2) certified. That means the smart-card is protected against logical and physical security attacks. Evaluation Assurance Level 2 certified smart-cards are also used for credit cards, electronic cash, online banking, satellite TV and government identification.

Tamper-Proof Permanent Memory
The tamper-proof permanent memory of the smart-card serves as a secure storage place for software and content licenses. The licenses are therefore protected against viruses, theft and tampering. There is sufficient space for hundreds of licenses.

Besides the software and content licenses, the tamper-proof permanent memory of the smart-card accommodates encryption keys and a unique hardware identification number.
